Location The College and zonal
Agricultural Research is located at Navile Farm , about
5 Km away from Shimoga town on Savalanga Road. It is an
educational zone next to JNN College of Engineering and
opposite to Bapuji Ayurvedic College. The campus
comprises an area of about 78 hectares with partly
irrigation facilities. The ZARS is the Head quarter for
research activities carried out in its 5 Research
Stations located at Bavikere, Honnaville, Shimoga,
Gunjevu and Kathalagere of Southern Transitional Zone (
Zone-7) of Karnataka.
The College
campus is located at an altitude of 650 M above MSL,
latitutde of 14°0' N to 14°0' N and longitude of 75°40'
to 75°42'East. The average rainfall is about 800 mm and
the mean Max. & Min. Temperature are 35.80C in April and
14.8°C in January, respectively.
Travelling facilities : The Campus is
connected by Road and Train from state capital Bangalore
. The College of Agriculture is 5 Kms away from Railway
Station / KSRTC/Private Bus Stand, Shimoga and Private
City buses are plying from Main Bus Station to College
campus.
