Projects

The ICAR has been providing research support to the University by locating some of the All India Co-ordinated Research (AICRP) projects in the university. These are the projects conceived with the objective of bridging the knowledge /research / technology gap at the National Level in all identified agro-climatic zones and operated through SAUs and ICAR regional institutions. The funding pattern which was earlier done entirely by ICAR has been changed in the 9th Plan with 75 percent of the funds provided by ICAR and 25 percent to be provided by Government of Karnataka. Besides university is also getting financial assistance for the research from Government of India, Department of Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka and other funding agencies both national and International.
