  Nodal Agencies participating in the implementation
There are 13 nodal agencies facilitating the implementation of project activities, three of them are Research Organizations, seven of them are Development Departments, two of them are market related institutions and one from the Financial institution.

There are 32 scientists representing different disciplines are participating in the empowerment of stakeholders of the project.

  Project Mandates
 
  • To develop a cafeteria of technological packages, information and resource based enterprises suitable for target groups in a rural agro-system.
  • To develop effective market and end user linkage for the outputs of the identified packages.
  • To create a “Bioresource Centre” to serve as a source of information on multiple needs and enterprises for farmers.
  • To impart skills of ‘mining’ to farmers for the technology and information from the Bio – Resource Centre.
  • To identify, document, standardize and promotion of indigenous practices among rural people.
  • To minimize cost of production and maximize income among rural people.
  • To organize groups and conduct appropriate extension educational programmes to promote adoption of identified technologies/enterprises among farmers.
  • To enhance the livelihood opportunities and income of the target groups.

In all 72 training programmes on different interventions are conducted to train 3420 stakeholders during the period.
