The UASB-PG Science Week serves as a vibrant platform for postgraduate students and PhD scholars to present their research accomplishments, exchange scientific insights, and disseminate the findings of their thesis and dissertation work. Established in 2014 by the Directorate, this symposium has steadily grown into a prestigious annual event recognized for its strong scientific rigor and collaborative spirit.

Over the years, PG Science Week has nurtured a culture of inquiry, innovation, and academic excellence, enabling young researchers to engage with peers, faculty, and subject experts across diverse disciplines. As detailed below, the upcoming edition of the event will feature six parallel technical sessions, each devoted to student research presentations and interactive discussions.

During PG Science Week, Master’s and Doctoral students present the outcomes of their ongoing research in distinct formats designed to highlight their scholarly contributions. Master’s students showcase their research through poster presentations, enabling them to visually communicate their objectives, methodologies, results, and interpretations. In parallel, Doctoral students deliver oral presentations, providing a platform for in-depth discussion of their research findings and their significance within broader scientific themes.

All presentations undergo a rigorous evaluation process. Poster presentations are assessed by external subject-matter experts, who evaluate the clarity, scientific merit, and overall presentation quality. Similarly, oral presentations are reviewed by external experts representing each subject area within the respective theme, ensuring fairness and academic credibility.

Based on the evaluators’ assessments, the best poster presenters in each Master’s programme are recognized with certificates of merit. In the Doctoral category, the top two oral presenters from each thematic area are honoured with theme-wise certificates, acknowledging their excellence in research and presentation.

ಪಿಜಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ, ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಅಧ್ಯಯನವನ್ನು ಪೋಸ್ಟರ್‌ಗಳ ರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಡಾಕ್ಟರೇಟ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮೌಖಿಕ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಿಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪೋಸ್ಟರ್ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಮೌಖಿಕ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಾಹ್ಯ ತಜ್ಞರು ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗುರುತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
