International Center - K

Welcome to the ‘International Centre’ of the University of Agricultural Sciences.
This new office, set up in July 2019 will be responsible for all international activities of the university except student admission process. The office will promote, facilitate and coordinate academic interactions of the university with other universities outside India to establish a global research network in the area of agriculture and allied sciences. The ‘International Centre’ will track faculty collaborations international visitors and academic events like international conferences, seminars and symposia.
The centre would also assist international students who may wish to pursue their studies at the university. The university already has a sizeable number of international students studying in various degree programmes. Currently students from Germany, Kenya, Afghanistan, Tanzania, Iran, Iraq, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka are pursuing their courses at the University of Agricultural Science, Bangalore either as full time students or research.
The main areas of work of the office include
  • Developing strategic alliances and managing institutional partnerships and collaborations including our membership of the Worldwide Universities' Network.
  • Working with departments to develop their international programmes, including international agreements, funding opportunities, information on student exchange, participation in visits and profile- raising.
  • Managing an ongoing schedule of visits by UASB delegations to institutions in other regions of the world.
  • Hosting visits by delegates from International Universities to UASB.
  • Building international profile for UASB through visits, media coverage, events and conferences.
  • Developing and managing international opportunities for students.
  • Track international student enrolment trends at UASB and maintain a database of international students.
  • Internationalizing the campus, the curriculum and services to staff and students.
  • Toencourage quality research by partnering in universal joint research teams in frontier areas
  • Making students to have international professional network.
  • Make them ready for international workplace.
  • Study in a global hub for your field.
  • Personality development (Make them to discover curiosity and excitement that they harbor).
